Exercise: Weights, core

Yay, I made it to the gym this morning. That little devil who sits on my shoulder willing me to roll over and go back to sleep just didn’t get a look in at all 😆

I’ve had to go out and buy a few pairs of 3/4 gym pants as all the ones in my cupboard are past their use by date and 2 pairs are all ripped up in the top of the thigh area (which I didn’t realise until I had to do floor work in one class I went to 😳 ).

The thing is that I have at least 10 running skirts that I could wear to the gym, whereby I wouldn’t need to buy new pants, but for some reason I don’t feel as if the gym is the right place to wear them, yet I have no qualms about wearing one when I go outside for a run. Weird huh 😀

Did the earth move for everyone? 😯

I was lying comfortably on my couch, totally engrossed in watching Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, when I heard what I thought was a very low flying aeroplane. It was only when the house felt like it had been lifted up and then dumped back down that I realised we’d just had an earth tremor.

We went outside and we could hear all the dogs in the neighbourhood barking their heads off, and a few neighbours stuck their heads out of their doors. No damage to the house, thank goodness. It measured 4.6 on the Richter Scale 😀

A big thankyou to Andrew and Mrs Poms friend Colin for their generous donations to our fundraising campagin for Oxfam Trailwalker.

We need to reach at least $1,000 so I’m now going to get down on my hands and knees and grovel to everyone. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE can you spare $10 to help us reach our target 😀
