I may have been mistaken but I actually felt like tonight’s class was a bit easier than the last couple!!

There was alot of running, at least 200 squats, lunges and other core work

Then there were step ups, ski jumps and pushups using a step!

I’m hoping that I’m getting a bit fitter

I was sweating even before I put my gi on tonight. Once it was on, it got warmer!

When I heard that we were going to be sparring, I just rolled my eyes

Luckily I had to leave a little early as Alana had to get up to Guides as Hubby was working!

Only 3 weeks until my grading……aaaggghhh!

Finally got out for a longer walk/run in preparation for Trailwalker.

I met Shells at Blackburn Road and we ran out through Westerfolds Park before turning round at the 9km mark. We stopped running at 10km and walked back.

We were so lucky with the rain considering the fact that it poured all day yesterday and all through the night too. Not a drop at all today! It stayed overcast but that was all.

When we were walking back through Westerfolds a group of Gazelles ran past us. Gazelles are elite runners who are all skinny with long legs. These were all men! About 10 minutes later they came back towards us and who other than Craig Mottram was in the group

Why is it that before I get to the gym I’m all negative, tired and lethargic, yet as soon as the class starts I just want to give it my all and work really hard!

Love, love, love doing this class. The instructor plays the most uplifting and motivating music and it is exactly the right beat for cycling

I am trying to get all my Christmas shopping finished before the 1st December. I have 4 days to meet that deadline

Today was a day off work as Alana was unwell so I stayed home to look after her.

It was a good day to get all the washing done, do some cooking and generally tick off lots of little things that I’ve been meaning to do for ages but just haven’t gotten around to doing

Karate tonight and I found out that my next grading is on the 20th December

Okay, so I definitely have a bit of training to do before then.

I finally got around to seeing Corrie for some pain. My hip has been a bit niggly over the last few weeks so she dug those bony elbows of hers into it to make it a bit more supple. She actually suggested that I make an appointment to see either a Chiro or an Osteo for some more manipulation.

It was wonderful to catch up with Corrie. I can’t believe that she’s already 34 weeks pregnant. I also can’t believe the last time I saw her she wasn’t even pregnant!! How time flies!

We had a different instructor tonight as Vanessa, who normally takes the class, had to be somewhere else.

I haven’t had the new instructor before, so when we first started I thought it was going to be fairly easy compared to how Vanessa teaches. Oh but how wrong was I

I think my lats are going to hurt lots tomorrow! The class was quite varied, with skipping, hand weights, fit ball, intervals and lots of general cardio work! Yep, it was a good class

Hubby and I managed to organise ourselves so that we both got some exercise in this morning. Nick got up early and drove my car to work, locked it all up and then walked home. Meanwhile I ran to work, where my car was waiting for me with all of my clothes in the boot so I could just grab it from the boot and head on over to the showers

I followed this up with Karate tonight. When I first started back at Karate last year I was pretty sure that I didn’t want to do any competitive fighting, but over the course of the year I have slowly come around to the conclusion that I enjoy sparring and maybe, just maybe I might put my toe in the ring some time in the near future

Have had trouble walking properly the last couple of days due to the pain in my calves from doing so many squats and jumps on Wednesday night.

Doing this class certainly helped iron out a few kinks

You know you’re doing a popular class when all the bikes are being used and everyone gets to the gym before it opens so that they can be at the front of the queue when the doors open to ensure they get their bum on a bike seat

Saw Twilight Breaking Dawn on Thursday night. I’m not sure if my expectations were too high, but I was a little disappointed. It certainly didn’t have the same feel as the other 3 movies. Seemed so much more….um…..polished and shiny, not so raw. Don’t get me wrong, it was still enjoyable and I’m looking forward to the last one but I just felt it should have been a bit more gutsy!

I really love doing this class. I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before

Tonight was the old mini marathon!

100 of each:

Squats
Lunges
Step Ups
Burpees
Pushups
Full situps
Leg Extensions
Ski Jumps
DB box punches
DB Overhead punches
DB lateral raises
Hover (3 minutes overall)

Then we all had to get a step and do minute intervals of step ups, followed by squats, followed by ski jumps, followed by squats, followed by more step ups, more squats and more ski jumps

Yay, Christmas is over and done with for another year. If anyone mentions giftsets they might just get one shoved where the sun don’t shine!

Tonight I felt like I was a newbie. We did some stuff that I have never done before, although I felt like I should know it, even though it’s never been shown to me.

I was so uncoordinated. Felt like I had two left feet

Practice, practice, practice!

Tomorrow at work is going to be one of the most hectic days of the year for me. Once tomorrow is over, so is Christmas
